Yuvraj Varadraj ji Mandloi Zamindar
Varadraj received his education from one of India’s most prestigious schools, The Daly College Indore. With a penchant for cars that developed at a young age, under the guidance of his father, Rao sahab, he has expanded his passion into now possessing an impressive collection of vintage and rare cars from across the world.
Varadraj joined the family business while pursuing a BBA (Honours) in Business Studies from the Daly College Business School, affiliated with DeMontfort University in the UK. He received the Excellent Performance Award for the best performance in his batch. Varadraj further studied law at the prestigious Jindal Global Law School in India.
Varadraj also possesses a Master’s degree in Real Estate Development from Arizona State University (ASU) in the USA. During his time at ASU, he was approached by Senator John McCain for ideas on a 150-acre riverside development legacy project. This landmark project required collaboration with eight mayors, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Federal Aviation Administration, and Senator McCain himself. Varadraj’s report is currently being implemented by the city of Phoenix and ASU. This achievement garnered media attention in Phoenix, and Senator McCain personally thanked him. He was subsequently approached for other projects, including an industrial project for relocating and repurposing a 110-acre land parcel for the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Currently, Varadraj manages the family businesses alongside his parents, actively expanding the portfolio of family businesses while promoting the history of Indore through organised events and media engagement. He divides his time between overseeing the organic farms, managing the cold storage facility, and handling the ancestral properties around the city. He also devotes much of his time to helping local farmers facing financial and work-related difficulties. Looking at his vast social work in this area, the world’s largest farmers organisation Bhartiya Kisan Sangh appointed him the city Minister for their organisation. He picks up many causes for the betterment of farmers and helps his city farmers gain global exposure.
Varadraj has been working with Hon’ble Mayor of Indore, Shri Pushyamitra Bhargav who appointed him the head of Internships with the Mayor program in 2022. First of its kind in the country, this initiative pioneered in Indore, brings together students from different local universities and provides them the opportunity to work with the Mayor and advise the Mayor’s office on future development. Under his aegis the program was a success with the first batch having over 4000 applications, from which a selection of 400 students worked with the Mayor’s office, this program is still being run by the Mayor’s office.
Varadraj Ji volunteers his time with Bhartiya Kisan Sangh which is the worlds largest farmer’s association, the organization has awarded him with many posts over time for his exemplary work towards helping the farmers of Malwa. He actively works with the farmers to voice their concerns to the government and find solutions to their problems.
